Canva Review: A Must for Any Business Ever

Overview of Canva: This is a freaking fantabulous product. I do love Adobe and all, but because my laptop is so slow, I have to use that on my phone which means bouncing images between 5 different apps. With Canva, it has pretty much everything there! You can make your own logo, cards, graphics, and so much more with just one program. If I start this on my phone, I can just save it and hop on my computer to keep working. This means no more emailing myself hundreds of pictures (I had so many emails from myself with images, it was annoying).

Who is Canva For?

This is for anyone and everyone. It is especially helpful for those who are trying to grow their business. They have many different layout that can be used for any kind of social media. Its also very easy to use therefore you don’t have to be a creative expert to get make some great looking stuff.

How does it work?

Sign up to canva for freeAll you need to do is sign up for a free account and you are ready to go! On your homepage you will have various layouts that are already optimized for your needs like Pinterest graphic, Blog Title, Facebook Cover, Logo, and so much more. You can also just input your own measurements.

Once you choose the layout or size, it will open up a new window where you can edit everything. You can upload images for the background, add text, lines, little illustrations, and even icons. If you feel that you are not as creative as you wished, they have designs that you can customize by changing the wording or the pictures and colors. The possibilities are endless, especially if you pair it with Pixabay. Here is a tiny clip on how to do the do (no audio).

Pretty awesome support system for Canva usersCanva Support
Their support is pretty awesome. They offer a bunch of answered FAQs that pretty much cover almost everything you may need. If the question you are looking for is not available, you could possibly get a hold of them through social media. They are predominantly on Facebook. I haven’t had any problems with anything so far and I actually have Canva for Work which is an upgraded version.

There is the free account which is freaking awesome and let me tell you, you don’t need any more than that. I personally chose Canva for Work because I have a bad memory and it helps speed things up a bit. With Canva for work you can save your brand which includes color scheme, fonts, templates all throughout so that you have some consistency. It also has the magic resize which resizes what ever you are working on into different layouts. For example, if I am working on a blog image, I can magically resize it to be compatible with Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, and so many more, without having to start all over and do each one by one.Different pricing options for Canva

Another HUGE reason why I really wanted to get Canva for Work was because of the transparency. I know this may be silly to some, but this was really important to me. with the ability to have a transparent background, I could apply my logo without worrying about a white (or whatever color) background. I have always thought images looked weird when the logo was on and it had a box around it to represent the logo, do you know what I mean? I just think it is so much nicer to just have the logo by itself, unless I chose to add a little box around it.

Anyway, Canva for Work has a lot of awesome stuff that I am really digging, but to be honest you don’t need it, especially if you have patience.

My Final Opinion on Canva

If you haven’t heard of it, go and get an account. It is absolutely lovely and amazing. The only thing I could complain about is that there aren’t a whole lot of free images, but like I said, I got Pixabay for that. The phone app is also a little weird, but that may be because I haven’t updated my phone which in turn means I haven’t updated the app.

Anyway it is awesome. I definitely recommend it to anyone trying to make any type of graphics. They work for the flyers, cards, papers, and even online business.

If you are trying to start an online business, I do know of a pretty awesome program that can lead you to create a successful online business, that also offers a free account here. Pair this program with Canva and you are ready to rule the world!

This is an excellent article on Canva. Photoshop is the industry standard and is great for manipulating images but the learning curve is difficult and time consuming, at least for me! You have nicely described the benefits and ease of use of Canva. I will definitely check it out.

    Thanks for this.

I have used Canva briefly before but it has more features than I realized. I get what you mean about the transparency aspect. I think they look better and more professional without a box too. I also love Word Swag. I’m sort of addicted to making graphics for some strange reason. Thanks for the Canva details!

No problem! And I will definitely check out word swag to see what it has to offer, and maybe I can incorporate that into my images. Thank you very much for the comment! Have a wonderful day!

I love Canva and have been using it since day one of my blogging. I am using it mainly for creating feature images for my posts which works well for my social settings as well. So that really saves up my time.

The lack of free images isn’t a problem. Just like you, I use platforms like Photopin and Pixabay – the collections are a bit cluttered, but after you master the ‘eyes’, it’s quite easy to pick one that’s suitable for each topic that you are writing about.

I do love pixabay for its awesome amounts of free images, I am just sometimes too lazy to spend an extra 7 seconds downloading the image and uploading it lol!

I am very glad to hear someone else also have an amazing experience with Canva. Thank you very much for the comment! Have a wonderful day!

I source for most of my image contents on pixabay but since everybody can have access to that same image I use canva to customise to my business taste.

I use canva for my social media posts and blog content. The amazing part is the free forever membership giving me unlimited use of the tool. Making use of the premium package is on my mind as I want more of the canva experience.

I don’t know though, does canva run an affiliate program? I need to start referring people to this awesome image building tool.

    Thanks for the review.

They don’t run an affiliate program unfortunately! I searched and searched and found nothing which kind of sucks but well it is awesome, it has a bunch of free images and one can get an amazing free account so I can see why they wouldn’t have one. I love how fast it can be for quick fixes and access throughout all my devices unlike other programs

Thank you very much for the awesome input and I hope you have a wonderful day!
